Traditional basement finishing uses wood studs and drywall. This traditional application becomes problematic. Moisture may become trapped behind the drywall. The combination of this dark damp space, along with the food source of wood studs and paper covered drywall, allows for the growth of mold and mildew.

Traditional drywall construction is very labor intensive, and typically very, very messy. Hanging, taping, coating, coating, sanding, priming and painting drywall takes many “man hours”. The end result is that when the crew leaves, a large part of your money goes with them in labor expense. What is left behind is an inferior product and potential problems down the road.
